WINKEL manufactures pallet lifters in various versions, which are used as versatile solutions for vertical load handling or positioning in different industrial applications worldwide.
WINKEL pallet lifters are manufactured with high quality WINKEL bearings and are therefore suitable for lifting capacities from 0.5t to 12.5t. WINKEL pallet lifters achieve a maximum lifting speed of 3m/s and a maximum lifting height of 40 m.
WINKEL pallet lifters are of modular design and have a robust and maintenance-friendly construction which is designed for the highest requirements such as multi-shift operation in the automotive industry.
Chain pallet lifters (chain lifters) are the most common and cost-efficient design for pallet handling. The pallet load is moved by a combination of a drive sprocket and two chains.
As an alternative to chain lifters, lifters can also be operated with flat or toothed belts (belt lifters). With this concept, the load is moved either by winding up (winding technique) the flat belt or by the combination of a drive pinion, a deflection and toothed belt. The advantage of using a belt is that it requires less maintenance. This lower maintenance effort results from the fact that a chain, in contrast to a belt, must be regularly supplied with lubricant.
In standard production, WINKEL pallet lifters are manufactured with appropriate accessories and can be customised according to customer requirements already in the quotation phase, both in terms of the type of drive, the position of the drive, the safety devices or the attachments.
Both chain and belt drive pallet lifter can be used in 1, 2 or 4 column lifter with the appropriate load handling devices to move loads up to 12.5 t at various levels up to a maximum height of 40 m.
All lifters can also be equipped with a counterweight to enable lower energy consumption, depending on the application.
WINKEL pallet lifters are also used in the ergonomic WINKEL FAST PICK station or depalletising station for manual unloading and palletising.
Further options for pallet handling, such as within a rack, high-performance storage and retrieval machines or lifting and travel units from WINKEL can be used.
WINKEL provides competent support with great expertise from the planning to the manufacture and commissioning of such pallet lifting systems for the movement of goods or material in order to increase productivity.

WINKEL 1-column pallet lifters are value-analytically designed and manufactured at the Illingen site for pallet lifter with load capacities of up to 3,500 kg and impress with their insensitivity to dirt and robustness.
1-column pallet lifters are low-maintenance and suitable for multi-shift operation and are often used for moving pallets, boxes, wire mesh boxes and small parts and 1-column pallet lifters have the advantage that 2 pallets can be moved at the same time.
In standard production, 1-column pallet lifters are manufactured with corresponding accessories such as fall protection devices, floor locks, with maintenance platforms or matching lifting slides. In addition, the pallet lifters can be equipped with a variety of other options.
Depending on customer requirements, 1-column pallet lifters can be customized in the quotation phase, both in terms of drive, accessories or attachments. Motors are available in AC or servo versions in combination with low-backlash gearboxes.
WINKEL's construction team provides competent support from planning to manufacturing and commissioning of 1-column lifting systems for pallets for the safe and precise movement of goods or material. WINKEL 2-column lifters are value-analysis designed and manufactured at the Illingen site for lifting capacities up to 6,000 kg. 2-column lifters convince with their insensitivity to dirt and robustness and are used for moving pallets, car body parts or batteries.
The 2-column lifters are low-maintenance and suitable for multi-shift operation. Motors are available in AC or servo versions in combination with low-backlash gearboxes. In addition, the 2-column lifters can be equipped with a variety of options.
WINKEL 4-column lifters are value-analysis designed and manufactured lifters for load capacities up to 12,500 kg and convince with high load capacities, insensitivity to dirt and robustness. 4-column lifters are used for moving car bodies, steel constructions or oversized components with high weights.
The 4-column lifters are low-maintenance and suitable for multi-shift operation. Motors are available in AC or servo versions in combination with low-backlash gearboxes. In addition, the lifters can be equipped with a variety of options.
A pallet lifter can be equipped with a counterweight; the mass of the counterweight makes it possible to use a drive/motor with lower power. With the mass-optimised use of a counterweight, the energy requirement of the pallet lifter can be reduced by up to 30% and smaller frequency converters can also be installed.
The counterweight is attached to the end of the load-bearing device and thus acts as a balancing force, which is why the drive of the energy-efficient pallet lifter effectively moves less load with lower energy consumption at the same time.
Heavy loads up to 12.5 t can be moved with pallet lifters from WINKEL with a max. speed of 1 m/s (3.6 km/h) and loads up to approx. 400kg with a speed of up to 5 m/s (18 km/h).
Depending on the load to be moved and the guide system, i.e. use of a recirculating ball bearing guide or linear guide, a maximum speed of up to 5 m/s (18 km/h) is possible with a pallet lifter.
The rule is "the more weight or load to be moved with a pallet lifter, the lower the maximum speed of the pallet lifter".
High precision of the pallet lifter depends largely on the correct selection of the guide system. Basically, a recirculating ball bearing guide ensures high precision of the pallet lifter. This high precision is achieved due to the smaller clearance between the guide rail and the carriage with internal rows of balls.
Basically, all pallet lifts must be doweled to the floor. In addition, they should be connected to a wall or the steel structure at each separation point and in the upper third.
In the case of 1 column lifts however, sufficient stability can be achieved by reinforcing the lifting mast up to a height of 6 metres by fixing it to the ground. This construction of the pallet lifter is also called free-standing.
