Completion of the large assembly hall 3

Development needs space. After 8 months of construction, WINKEL GmbH has significantly expanded its production areas and meets the increased demand for international orders in the field of logistics systems.

Illingen, 15.04.2021 – After a construction period of 8 months and an investment sum of 4 million euros, the large assembly hall 3 was completed in April 2021. With the expansion of the production area from 4,800 sqm to 7,300 sqm, logistics systems, such as the WINKEL-specific FAST-PICK systems for intralogistics, can now be completely manufactured, tested and assembled.

With the expansion of Assembly Hall 3, there is also sufficient space for machining centers which can process systems with a length of up to 13 m in the X-axis, so that customers can benefit directly from this improved performance.

"This enables us to meet the constantly increasing demand for international projects and to ensure the usual just-in-time delivery to our customers in the machine and plant construction sector," says Managing Director Christian Winkel.

The construction of the new assembly hall 3 has increased WINKEL GmbH's production area to 15,000 sqm and also brings 20 new jobs to the Illingen site.
