optima heel.
Endurance stress
The highest stress occurs in the heel section of the fork. Our
engineers have developed the famous optima heel with an
optimized geometrical form tominimize stress peaks.
Deflection
The deflection of our quality forks with the optima heel is up
to 15% reduced in comparison to forks without reinforced
heels. This is a real advantage to increase the lift efficiency.
Wear
If the thickness of the fork is reduced by 10% or more of the
original thickness, the fork has to be replaced. A 10% reduc-
tion in thicknesswill result in a 20% loss in fork capacity (see
also ISO 5057).
